Al Hayeey wal haya’

56 hours to be exact. And his main aims and goals he knew it extremely well.  He looked outside the plane window. Mixed feelings between excited and happiness and upsetness too. But the reward that Allah awj Has Promised to those who meet one another for the sake of Allah awj made him more clear of what exactly he wanted to do. He searched the plane entertainment box and clicked on Surah Luqman and flipped through his book, after 4 months of exhaustion. ‘The Path of Love for those who desired Paradise’. Love , something he himself is in search for.  Really, desperately.  He tried closing his eyes. Forcing to sleep after reading, but he couldn’t.  His mind was immersed in what and how should he respond meeting them after so long.

Weather invited him in a fresh breeze as he stepped out of the plane. His eyes stopped looking at mountains he longed for. Back at home one of his biggest desires was to climb out mountains in midnights and do his favourite hobby; star gazing. His heart smiled. Once he saw a figure he could recognise from far. The figure of his closest sahabats where he found attached all because of their promise for that eternal moment. Mus’ab smiled and hugged Ibrahim as tightly as possible.  “Assalamualaykum ya doktora,” Ibrahim didn’t let go as he hugged him for a good 5 minutes. “Waalaykumsalam warahmatullah ya ruhiy.” Moments of happiness he was looking forward since he left the land. Ya Allah,  Mus’ab monologued to himself. Fabiayyi alaa irabbikuma tukadhiban. Alhamdulillah.  Alhamdulillah.  Alhamdulillah ya Rabb. And the 56 hours mission, bismillah.

Silence of Moments

As memories recollect and smiles reconcile, Abdul Ghaffar walked through the crowd with gazillions of thoughts in his minds. When was the last time he met him… He walked calmly looking at some faces. Then he paused. From a far, he was able to make sense that one of his closest companion was really in front of him. The lines on his face never changed just the skin looks more tanned and more wrinkles proposing that his medical career has exhausted him quite a bit. As he walked towards him,  a hand pulled his hand. He looked back and stopped. “Thalhah is here.” Abdul Ghaffar turned back again and once and for all, Mus’ab was nowhere to be found.

“The decision is a collective one, certainly not by individual basis!”
“Who is the one who said it’s an individual decision?”
“For most of the projects ya Abdul Rahman.  You rarely listened to others.”

Abdul Ghaffar left the room. Mus’ab slowly collapsed on his chair, mind floated to what just happened a few seconds ago.
That was the third time in the week both of them have been in arguments but when the arguments over, they mutually thought it was an exaggeration of a point.  “Astaghfirullah. Astaghfirullahilladhim wa atubu ilaik.” Mus’ab left the room and drove straight to the mosque.  He misses the ambience there and the most beautiful moments with his beloved companions. That was when he knew Mus’ab was leaving for Otago to meet his parents. And Allah Knows Best when they will be reunite.  As heavy as the heart could be, he knew, he made a mistake and he must correct it.

Memories recollected in his minds as he was passing through the main gates. His desires of meeting that long-awaiting companion of his, was too mountainous, he was considering to give in. Arguments, disagreements. He wondered what made it so huge. As he thought, a young girl came to him with the widest smiles he has seen. At least, this was welcoming he thought. Abdul Ghaffar smiled back.

“Assalamualaykum sis.”

The girl chuckled and she was very happy. Crystal clear.

“Waalaykumsalam warahmatullah my brother. Ya Allah! What made you come here?” Her high pitched voice showed more that she was excited meeting him.

“Allah Knows best. I’m happy to see you happy.”

“And, you’re here to meet someone?”

“Is the someone here?”

“I think so.” Abdul Ghaffar smiled and his eyes was looking around in case he could get a glimpse of that ‘someone’.

“That someone ya akhi, is behind stage.” Sawfiyah showed him the third floor leading to the backstage.

“I’m… nervous honestly.” Abdul Ghaffar laughed. He really wanted to meet that special someone but  he feared that the person would be too shocked too.

“This place misses you.” Sawfiyah smiled again. Abdul Ghaffar’s heart stopped beating. If only this place knows how he missed more. If only.

“Just, be prepared to be disappointed okay. Just be prepared.” Sawfiyah reminded him again and left. One of the brightest sisters he had worked before in numerous projects and he was the proudest older brother when he knew that she was to marry Hakeem, another colleague of him. One of the quietest brothers, yet genuinely genuine.
Abdul Ghaffar walked through the hall when suddenly someone grabbed him on his shoulders and hugged him. Just the scent made him realize it was the awaiting companion he was longing for. Tears start streaming without them realizing. They stood still for 3 minutes, still in the warmest hugs. How deeply he missed this companion. Without words, he knew, that this sahabat has went through a lot. Feeling helpless for not being able to help. He found himself drowning within himself. He knew even if they were to ask one another “how’s things?” the only reply would be “Alhamdulillah” when in reality they were fighting thunderstorms within themselves. Of sleepless nights and rushing hours, the only thing that calms their hearts is indeed the remembrance of Almighty, Whom Created them for a very deeply purposeful reason.

“Why did you come?” Mus’ab asked as he wiped his tears.

“You know me more than well. What is my second nickname?” Abdul Ghaffar patted Mus’ab on his shoulders.

“MOA. Man of Action, really?” Mus’ab laughed trying to grasp the fact that Allah a.w.j Made this moment to happen.

“I miss you, I came. Logical right?”

“Very indeed bro.” Mus’ab still shaking his head, which was filled with 1000 of thoughts.

“May Allah awj Loves you more. May He awj Have mercy on you.” Mus’ab slowly continued. “You’re booked for two nights, we’ve lots of things to do. But first, let me wrap this event first. By inviting you to give the last speech.”

True Love

Dearest sisters and brothers whom I love for the sake of Allah awj. Know that time will not seize, it will keep moving despite you feel it too fast. Or otherwise. Know that you feel that tingling sensation in your heart and sense of care and concern, it’s a feeling that comes from the heart. And it transcends beyond what the layman term defines. Love. How love comes and how it is being pursued and how it ends. Shows your character on how you define love. For me, this little me who is speaking, love is when you know well what your beginning goals are, your end journey is. It is when you strive so hard to gain that ultimate benefits of gaining the ultimate love from Ar Razzaq, Al Muhaymin, Al Lateef. An indescribable feeling. That sadness when things are not working out because you want something so much. The feeling of will meet for certain despite long distances and long time. The feeling of you are able to do everything with that person you claim to have that feeling with. The ability to accept one another’s weaknesses. The capability of changing something unfortunate in our eyes to something beautiful and full of wisedom in Allah’s eyes. It enables you to leave things, despite your heart has dissolved in it. It teaches you to forgive and forget. It teaches you to save others and yourself from the fire. It stops you from displaying the true feelings, in case it causes disruption without notice.  It teaches you to be patient in the most impossible moments.  And most importantly, it looks out for you when you are getting astray without notice.

Words of Love

One word of Love

Bilal bin Rabah “Ahad.”

Two words of Love

Prophet Muhammad s.a.w , “Cover me. (Zamilooni)”If th

Three words of Love

Ummu Sulaim, ” Islam’s my mahar.”

Four words of Love

Abu Bakar As Siddiq r.a. “Ya Rasulullah, we believe.”

Love speaks when the painful contractions of a mother becomes bearably happy after the sight of her first child.

Love speaks when the best of companion covers the holes of animals in the dessert’s cave to ensure that the Messenger s.a.w would never get hurt. Every twitch of muscle of his is being used to protect this noble Messenger s.a.w. Every poison that attacked him r.a. could be felt like an electric shock in his nerves. Very painful yet bearable, because he r.a. knew well why he r.a.  did this. When the kuffars were closer to them in the Caves of Thur, Abu Bakar as Siddiq turned nervous, as he was bearing the pain of the poisons and the only second he couldn’t bear it anymore, when a drop of his eye tear touched the Prophet s.a.w’s cheek. The Prophet s.a.w. woke up.

“Don’t be sad, ya Abu Bakr.” The prophet s.a.w looked carefully at his companion’s face full of warmth.

“Allah is with us.”

“The people outside, O Messenger of Allah,” Abu Bakr r.a. started to speak bearing the pain on his feet.

“If they were to look beneath their feet now, they will find out out about us.” He r.a. continued.

The Prophet s.a.w. replied,

“What do you think, ya Abu Bakr,”

“If there are two people and the third is Allah s.w.t?”

That reply made the pain Abu Bakr r.a. was bearing, all vanished together. The collapsing world and companies of worriedness start fading away. Replaced by the brightest of nuur which lit up the earth.

And this is indeed love which heals. Have we experience this characteristic of love before?

May Allah awj Gather us all who love one another for the sake of Allah awj in throngs (zumara) towards the eternal home, surrounded by the Prophets peace and blessings be upon them, the strivers for Allah’s love showered endless blessings of mercy and love. Allahumma ameen.

[Al Quran, Surah Al Zumar : 68-75]

68. And the Trumpet will be sounded, whereupon everyone in the heavens and the earth will be stunned, except whomever God wills. Then it will be sounded another time, whereupon they will rise up, looking on.

69. And the earth will shine with the Light of its Lord; and the Book will be put in place; and the prophets and the witnesses will be brought in; and Judgment will be passed among them equitably, and they will not be wronged.

70. And every soul will be fully compensated for what it had done. He is well aware of what they do.

71. Those who disbelieved will be driven to Hell in throngs. Until, when they have reached it, and its gates are opened, its keepers will say to them, “Did not messengers from among you come to you, reciting to you the revelations of your Lord, and warning you of the meeting of this Day of yours?” They will say, “Yes, but the verdict of punishment is justified against the disbelievers.”

72. It will be said, “Enter the gates of Hell, to abide therein eternally.” How wretched is the destination of the arrogant.

73. And those who feared their Lord will be led to Paradise in throngs. Until, when they have reached it, and its gates are opened, its keepers will say to them, “Peace be upon you, you have been good, so enter it, to abide therein eternally.”

74. And they will say, “Praise be to God, who has fulfilled His promise to us, and made us inherit the land, enjoying Paradise as we please.” How excellent is the reward of the workers.

75. And you will see the angels hovering around the Throne, glorifying their Lord with praise. And it will be judged between them equitably, and it will be said, “Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds.”

Allah would say on the Day of Judgment: “Where are those who love each other for the sake of My glory? Today I will shelter them with My shade, as there is no shade today except My shade”.”

Allah awj Has Blessed him with the best 56 hours, starting from the moment he stepped out of the house until he stepped back into the house. Being able to be with people he loved most in short but full of barakah moments (biidhnillah) and being able to just express feelings which have been long suppressed. To be able to know more about those he claimed to love and to learn more about ukhuwwah fillah. To be able to feel the midnight breeze and to have eyes to look out in cloudless skies and blinking stars. To be able to look into the eyes and to make direct duaa with them alongside. To be able to sit down in moments of silence whilst knowing clearly well what’s in the hearts. Alhamdulillah. Now’s the time to refresh and make longer runs. To act towards what is in his hearts and most importantly only for His awj’s Sake, and nothing more, nothing less. Alhamdulillah for such huge ni’mahs. Looking forward for more #56 hours. InshAllah soon, bismillah. He browsed into the audios as he sat back in the most back row of the plane. Outside, pitch black, and he clicked on the audio that sahabat sent him.

”There are three characteristics whoever has them will taste the sweetness of faith: that Allah and His Messenger(saw) are more loved by him than everything else, that he loves or does not love a person only for Allah’s sake and that he would hate to revert into disbelief just as he would hate to be thrown into fire.”

Allah Knows Best.
