Smiles & Laughters

Assalamualaykum wr wbt,

I ask Allah azza wa jalla to Protect antunna and Bless with the best of blessings insh’Allah.

Alhamdulillah tsumma alhamdulillah. Indeed, the week has passed.

Overlapping Priorities

After a mere 3 hours of sleeping, he woke up still dazed with the incidents which happened the day before. He needed that recharge, but it wasn’t enough. Then his minds flew to his amanahs in the wards. He woke up, plucking extra courage to get ready for another unexpected day. As he entered the lift, an elderly man was looking at his watch several times then let out sighs and looked at the floor of the lift.

“Uncle… are you okay?” Mus’ab asked.

The elderly man around 70ish didn’t reply. He looked at Mus’ab half weeping. Mus’ab was taken aback. That was his third day in his new career of life, and this is the fourth person crying in front of him. As extreme as it could sound, Mus’ab hated seeing people crying. He can’t tolerate seeing especially old people crying.

“Uncle… anything I can help with?” Mus’ab placed his hands on the uncle’s shoulders. In his hand was a plastic bag filled with sweet buns and mineral water.

“I… I am worried.” The old man slowly talked with a distinct north accent.

“Hrm… may I ask what is it, Uncle?”

“How long does one have to wait?”

“Wait? For?”

The elderly man wiped his tears.

“I miss my wife. She’s in the hospital with mask and I can’t live without her. She’s waiting right doctor?”

Mus’ab stopped breathing. In his mind, he thought himself. How would he respond.

“Waiting for…. what, uncle?”

“Wait for that moment. Of dying. Of leaving me for real.”

Again, Mus’ab kept silent as he stood in front of the lift, looking at the uncle and heart whispered a thousand of questions. And the number one question in his mind was a three lettered word where no human beings can answer except the questioner himself. Why?

Why?

The Prophet ﷺ (peace be upon him) said,

“All of you are shepherds and each one is responsible for his flock. A leader of a people is a shepherd and responsible for them. A man is a shepherd over his family and is responsible for them. A woman is a shepherd over her husband’s house and his children and she is responsible for them. And a servant is a guardian over his master’s property and is responsible for it. So all of you are guardians and are responsible for your charges.”

 (Bukhari)

Indeed for the mu’min (believers) who are sensitive surely will be aware of what lies behind them, what lies ahead and what surrounds them. For how he is sensitive to the condition of his heart, for it easily flips, that applies how sensitive he is to his surrounds. The people he interacts, the people he come across out of randomness, the people he text or the the people he is supposed to meet soon. He judges someone not as an individual but as a whole, what is in him and what surrounds him. He takes into measures that humans are still humans the same creation as he himself that Allah azza wa jalla Created, thus treatment is same regardless different beliefs, colour or perspectives. And for every beautiful story lies a gazillion of sacrifices. For Prophet Ibrahim a.s., every Muslim which prays at least 17 times a day mentions his a.s. name. For Allah azza wa jalla Blessed him such an honour subhanAllah because of his character which never give up in sacrificing. Prophet Ibrahim a.s excelled in giving without expecting. He a.s. strive to give his best in everything he do, he a.s. puts Allah s.w.t as number one than his own beloved wife, his own precious son. Thus, Allah s.w.t Grant him a.s an honour , a true story to teach us the real meaning of sacrifice. Allahuakbar. So many so many things to learn. So many things to do at times, we don’t have time to swallow, it just dissolves in the heart and commenced via actions. Because, Allah s.w.t Made it easy. Because Allah s.w.t Allowed it to happen. SubhanAllah.

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “If Allah intends good for someone, then He afflicts him with trials.

The Prophet ﷺ said that “One of the signs of excellence of one’s worship is thinking well of Allah (swt).”

Missing them lots. Especially Charming and his charms. And JG and their taewondos. And the scent of goodness in the halls of the walking Quran. And AG and her smiles.

Sometimes, no one understands you although they try hard to. Thus all he ask, is duaas from them. In sujuds, in rains, in tahajjuds in every s.e.c.o.n.d. they can.

Ya Allah, Indeed I leave everything to You.

May Allah Ease and Grant the best for the ummah.

Allahua’lam.
