Dear Little Girl

Assalamualaykum wr wbt, I dedicate this to all the girls I love for the sake of Allah s.w.t. out there🙂

Some girls are fair
Some are jolly and fit
Some have a well-bred air
or a well-honed wit

Each one’s a jewel
with a singular shine
a work of art
with it’s own rare design

Dear little girl,
you are terribly blessed
But it’s your heart of gold
I love the best

And that will be your crowning glory
your whole life through
It’ll always be your crowning glory
The most glorious part of you

That will be your crowning glory
Darling when they tell your story
They’ll call your heart of gold your crowning glory
The most glorious part of you

Dearest Little Girl,

I was there. At that age when it seems that life’s too squeezy or too confusing at times. And no matter how many times you turn, you pour your heart to people, which is normal for girls especially to do- they can never give that lasting effect of tranquility which the heart seeks for. Why? Those are some tests that Allah azza wa jalla Gives upon us, without us realizing it. Because we see it so hugely as this problem, a thorn in the throat, a burn in the heart, we forgot. As usual, we human beings forget. That these gigantic problems are actually a sign that Allah azza wa jalla misses to hear us ask Him. Misses to see us making long sujoods. And these duaas and sujoods are not for Him awj. It’s for us, and Allah azza wa jalla Knows well that the hearts cannot stand too long without duaas- a natural feeling in dependance to our Lord awj, and sujoods- a way in seeking Help so much better than asking an-nas for help.

“Sometimes Allah tests us by taking away everything, other times He tests us by giving us everything. It is the latter test most people fail. Don’t translate being free from material needs to being free from needing Allah. You will always need Him.”

And as normally as it would, in the midst of us having all the problems in the world to shoulder on, at times too heavy for us to even look up. Always define the reasons why you have some of the best ni’mahs (blessings) that Allah azza wa jalla Has Given upon you. The smallest and inshAllah most definitely is, you’re able to read this. Every single letter typed in this empty space, you’re able to understand. Whilst some of our sisters or brothers out there are lost in the middle of the communications. Unable to even read the screen on their laptops. If they have the ability to  buy laptops. Or some can read, but each of the letters pass the retinal cells and that’s it. Their cones and cylinder cells fail to communicate with the neurones to bring signals to brains. Allahuakbar. The ability to see- a huge blessing we always forget. And this has been repetitively repeated in Quran,

13:17

“He sends down from the sky, rain, and valleys flow according to their capacity, and the torrent carries a rising foam. And from that [ore] which they heat in the fire, desiring adornments and utensils, is a foam like it. Thus Allah presents [the example of] truth and falsehood. As for the foam, it vanishes, [being] cast off; but as for that which benefits the people, it remains on the earth. Thus does Allah present examples.”

One of the questions I always receive and which I keep asking myself.  Do I know that my decision is the best in Allah’s Eyes. And how? Process of tawakkul is indeed one of the most beautiful mysteries which Allah azza wa jalla Has set upon us all. To be able to do things perfectly, is also one of the fitrahs (naturality) of us, to be able to dress nicely, to be able to eat on time and nice food. To be kind to others and the desire for others to be kind to us. These are ways for us trying to attain perfection, but in order to know exactly if Allah azza wa jalla sees what is best in our doings, all these are based on references, the number one guide in our life ; Al Quran and Sunnah.  We definitely cannot know what we are doing is indeed the most perfect thing on earth, but one thing we should be able to know is did we give our best yet. Did we really try so hard until we have exhausted all sources to attain that one thing which has the main goal : To Gain Allah azza wa jalla’s Mercy, Redha. To be happy with us. And us to look forward to meet Him azza wa jalla.

Surah An-Nahl Chapter 16 Verse 98-100.

Last but not least Dear Little Girl,

Something which I always remind myself. Brings a lot of crunch in the heart when reminded by dearest sahabats whom I love for the sake of Allah. Something which is powerful, so true yet we still forget. Bear these advice from our beloved Prophet s.a.w in Mind.

On the authority of Abu `Abbas `Abdullah ibn `Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) who said: One day I was behind the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) [riding on the same mount] and he said:

“O young man, I shall teach you some words [of advice]: Be Mindful of Allah and Allah will protect you. Be Mindful of Allah and you will find Him in front of you. If you ask, then ask Allah [alone]; and if you seek help, then seek help from Allah [alone]. And know that if the Nation were to gather together to benefit you with anything, they would not benefit you except with what Allah had already prescribed for you. And if they were to gather together to harm you with anything, they would not harm you except with what Allah had already prescribed against you. The Pens have been lifted and the Pages have dried.”

(It is related by At-Tirmidhi, who said it is a Good and Sound Hadith)

Another narration, other than that of  At-Tirmidhi, reads:

“Be Mindful of Allah, and you will find Him in front of you. Recognize and acknowledge Allah in times of ease and prosperity, and He will remember you in times of adversity. And know that what has passed you by [and you have failed to attain] was not going to befall you, and what has befallen you was not going to pass you by. And know that victory comes with patience, relief with affliction, and ease with hardship.”

Allahua’lam.
