Don’t let the Heart be Blacken.

Assalamualaykum wr wbt,

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim,

20:124

20:125

20:126

And whoever turns away from My remembrance – indeed, he will have a depressed life, and We will gather him on the Day of Resurrection blind.”

He will say, “My Lord, why have you raised me blind while I was [once] seeing?”

[ Allah ] will say, “Thus did Our signs come to you, and you forgot them; and thus will you this Day be forgotten.”

[Al Quran, Surah Thaha : 124-126]

These ayahs shook me. Fear. Very fearful. Ya Allah, how will the day of accounting be for me? Will I be amongst those who will be looked down upon, and be forgotten. Will I be amongst those who will be drowning in depression, when the depression of dunya has already its down effects. Resurrected and gathered blindly? SubhanAllah. Just imagine that particular situation. Gathered as a blind person, then, Allah azza wa jalla abandon as, forget bout us, and we have been blinded to see Allah’s face? Na’udzubillahi mindzalik ya Allah.

In this dunya, one of the biggest nee’mah (blessings) Allah AWJ Has Given us, the different senses; the abilitiy to see, ears to listen, mouth to be able to communicate, and also ‘aql (minds) to be able to think. Just pause a second and think, what will happen to us if each of these blessing are being taken away from us.

Thus, have we been thankful enough all this while? Using the eyes, ears, mind to take up and learn lessons from Al Quran, using these senses in coming closer to Allah AWJ. Or are we using these to do the forbidden ones.

In this dunya, subhanAllah, Allah Has Described those people who are blind, not in the eyes, but in their hearts,

22:46

“So have they not traveled through the earth and have hearts by which to reason and ears by which to hear? For indeed, it is not eyes that are blinded, but blinded are the hearts which are within the breasts.”

[Al Quran, Surah Al Hajj :46]

How can the hearts be blind? Because it lacks light. Aren’t the eyes able to see because there is light present? It’s proven scientifically, when there’s light from other objects, then it is able to reflect itself, thus the eyes are able to see. That is the same with the hearts, they need light to be able to ‘see’. And this light comes from the Provider of All Lights, Allah azza wa jalla. The One Who Owns the lights, in guiding us and showing the truth.

And how does the heart misses it’s light, is due to the sins that blacken the hearts.

Abu Hurairah (raa) narrated: Allah’s Messenger May peace be upon Him said :

“When a slave (a person) commits a sin (an evil deed) a black dot is dotted on his heart. Then if that person gives up that evil deed (sin), begs Allah to forgive him, and repents, then his heart is cleared (from that heart covering dot); but if he repeats the evil deed (sin), then that covering is increased till his heart is completely covered with it. And this is Ar-Ran that Allah mentioned (in the Quran),

“Nay! but on their hearts is the Ar-Ran (covering of evil deeds and sins) which they used to earn” (83:14)”

[At Tirmidhi]

Alhamdulillah, Allah azza wa jalla Gives us the chance to clear these blackeners by doing tawbah (repentance) an giving up the bad deed.

Thus, I remind myself first and foremost, to not let the heart rust, or blacken, until there is no space left for light to enter the heart. Allahuakbar.

2:74

“Then your hearts became hardened after that, being like stones or even harder. For indeed, there are stones from which rivers burst forth, and there are some of them that split open and water comes out, and there are some of them that fall down for fear of Allah . And Allah is not unaware of what you do.”

[ Al Quran, Surah Al Baqarah :74]

Shouldn’t a believer be ashame reading this ayah subhanAllah. Even stones can be split open because of fear to Allah azza wa jalla, how about our hearts then? Ya Allah.

O Allah, the One Who Accepts our repentance, Ar Rahman, The Merciful One, forgive all of our sins, the ones done purposeful or without notice. Ya Allah, Al Lateef, the One Who Softens the hearts, soften our hearts, cleanse it from any dirts due to our sins, shower us with Your Light in our hearts, and Make the hearts Steadfast in our belief, our eeman, and Make these hearts always in remembrance of You ya Allah, the hearts that always misses You, misses to see Your Face. And Gather us Ya Allah With the people You Have mercy upon, and grant the second that we are able to meet You, the best days of our lives.

Allahumma Ameen.

Allah Knows Best.

Keep the Ummah in Egypt, Syria, Palestine and the other countries consistently sincerely in your duaas. Please. With full heart I beg you so.
