Alhamdulillah, last weekend was one of the best weekends. Alhamdulillah.

Though more packed than usual, alhamdulillah, I liked that way.

Loch Garman

Loch Garman! Alhamdulillah all praises to Allah, it has been nearly 2 weeks here, and it really hit you, touched you in the heart for the days that have gone by. Meeting my a happy smiling doctor outside the elevator the first day, I completely ignored him. He was indeed one of the most cheerful doctors I’ve ever seen, especially in this time of the day. Did not have any idea that he was going to be my team’s registrar subhanAllah. The SHOs, Consultant and the Reg himself alhamdulillah, was the best team I’ve ever worked and learnt so far.

Ayeesha, one of my closest sahabats, a wonderful Pakistani girl who is currently working on her Phd (mashaAllah) in Galway, was at home in Wexford, her house locate 30 mins from my ‘house’, she decided to come visit me for today and alhamdulillah, I get to meet her mom & dad, and seriously…. more homesick =.=’ Once I told her I really liked chappati and keema and subhanAllah! Her mom cooked them for me plus some special gifts. SubhanAllah, I was soooo touched I really had to blog it! Her visiting me in the hospital lobby was the best ever sweetest surprise I’ve ever got when I reached Wexford. Alhamdulillah.

jazakillahukhayr ukhtee! Ana uhibuki fillah!

All in all, Loch Garman gave me some of the best memories, it makes the heart more ‘missing’ of my habeebtys back in Royal Canal and in Vincents Hospital. A very good time to get away from the hussle and bussle of Baile Atha Cliath, alhamdulillah. Plus the weekends now are much much more colourful than always, I’m really thankful for that

Tarbiyah, which is education. Educating oneself according to the Islamic principles. Touching other hearts using our hearts. It’s a process NOT of touch and go. But touch and grow. Starting of with my landlady, (one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met alhamdulillah!)  patients, doctors, whoever around you, the best education yet simplest is by observing them.

Abu ‘Abd al-Rahman ‘Abdullah bin Mas’ud, radiyallahu ‘anhu, reported: The Messenger of Allah, sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam, the most truthful, the most trusted, told us:

Verily the creation of each one of you is brought together in his mother’s womb for forty days in the form of a nutfah (a drop), then he becomes an ‘alaqah (clot of blood) for a like period, then a mudghah (morsel of flesh) for a like period, then there is sent to him the angel who blows his soul into him and who is commanded with four matters: to write down his rizq (sustenance), his life span, his actions, and whether he will be happy or unhappy (i.e. whether or not he will enter Paradise).

By the One, other than Whom there is no deity, verily one of you performs the actions of the people of Paradise until there is but an arms length between him and it, and that which has been written overtakes him, and so he acts with the actions of the people of the Hellfire and thus enters it; and verily one of you performs the actions of the people of the Hellfire, until there is but an arms length between him and it, and that which has been written overtakes him and so he acts with the actions of the people of Paradise and thus he enters it. [Narrated by al-Bukhaari and Muslim.

How would you feel after putting in the thread in the needle for 9000 needles for 1 whole year,

then someone just throw all those needles and threads away in the sea.

Depressed? Regretful?

Taking some histories, also known as sitting with some grandpas and grandmas, really soften one’s heart.

He had to endure the pain for nearly 6 months, and knowing about the diagnosis, my heart totally sank.

Rindu borak- borak dengan We, Mok & Baba. 

Ya Allah Di mana sahaja mereka berada, Jagalah Mereka ya Allah dan Redhailah Mereka senantiasa.

This morning as well, one of my patients whom I smiled and reassured to also has passed away and the news really struck me when studying with pals. I was just thinking yesterday when my eyes met hers. If only, if only she would die as a Muslim. I was completely in a lost mode of not telling her about Islam, and in the hereafter, there is no doubt she will tell Allah s.w.t. that I a Muslim was there and did not even tell her about the deen.

My heart just sank more.

Ya Rabb. 

Meeting patients and talking to them, taught you more than what your medicine certificate qualifications do.

We here are worried about those who aren’t Muslims dying,

yet, here Muslims themselves do not act like Muslims themselves.

It’s just a Muslim by name and not Muslim by action.

Astaghfirullahiladzim.

We as Muslims do not even know the meaning of being a Muslim, we know what has been told to follow and what has been forbidden, yet we do otherwise. Astaghfirullahiladzim.

Wahai hati! Mengapa sombong sangat?

Dengan segala nikmat Allah telah Berikan, berapa kali telah kita ucapkan Alhamdulillah (Segala Pujian bagi Allah) dan benar-benar maksudkannya?

Wahai Mulut, sangatlah mengetahui bahawa mengumpat orang lain ibaratnya makan daging saudara yang diumpat itu, namun masih lagi mengata dan mengumpat mereka? Mengapa sombong ya Mulut?

Wahai Tangan, sangatlah tahu bahawa Allah jadikan tangan untuk beramal bakti di dunia agar dapat dituai hasilnya di akhirat, namun masih lagi menyuapkan makanan hasil wang haram dan malas sungguh untuk memberi sedekah? Mengapa sombong ya tangan?

Wahai telinga, sangatlah tahu bahawa Allah Jadikan telinga dua  dan mulut satu adalah supaya banyak mendengar dan kurang bercakap. Ya’ni mendengar perkara baik dan bukan makian, umpatan, dan cacian orang. Mengapa sombong ya telinga?

Wahai kemaluan, sangatlah tahu bahawa Allah s.w.t. berkali kali menekankan agar dijaga kemaluan dari sebarang perkara yang DimurkaiNya, namun mengapa masih begitu murah membawa diri ke jalan kemaksiatan? Mengapa sombonng??

Ketika dunia sudah tiada erti.

Ketika pena sudah diangkat menandakan amalan sudah ada tamat tempohnya.

Ketika emas kereta mewah cinta dunia hilang semuanya.

Ketika diri hanya dipenuhi risau dan risau tiada putus.

Ketika itu namanya MATI menjemput.

Ketika itulah MENYESAL mula menerpa.

Tiada guna lagi penyesalan.

Hanya maghfirah (keampunan) dan redhaNya sahaja boleh membantu.

Ketika itulah segala kesombongan tersorok seperti tidak pernah wujud.

Astaghfirullahiladzim.

Something to look forward weekly now alhamdulillah

Ya Allah, THANK YOU for these wonderful people around me.

Not those who praise fullstop and never care.

But those who never gets bored in giving me naseehah & share the real taste of dunya and reality of akheerah.

And this weekly memories to be created in building steps to Jannah.

What more can make a tiny *older* sister like me happy than to hear about your success ya brother dearest?

No words can picture how happy am I for you, so therefore in conclusion, just a few words for you captain before I can see you again.

You’ll be off to the seas this March, so, there’s a very tiny slim chance I’m meeting you this year. Or the next. Maybe next year inshaAllah. Winter holidays.

1. Bersyukurlah, buat sujud syukur atas segala nikmat yang Allah Berikan.

Cuba tengok sekeliling kita. Ada tak benda yang kita dapat dengan hasil titik peluh kite sendiri tanpa pertolongan Allah? Kita bernafas ni pun, Allah s.w.t. gerakkan neuron untuk gerakkan paru-paru untuk bernafas. Oksigen ni pun, Allah gerakkan sel darah merah untuk mengenderai oksigen. Justeru, setiap yang dilakukan ini, Allah s.w.t Benarkan dan Izinkan, justeru kita peroleh segala yang diinginkan alhamdulillah. Allah s.w.t Kurniakan kami ibu ayah yang selalu mencintai kami, ada ribuan anak-anak di luar sana yang dahaga kasih sayang subhanAllah.

Justeru adikku, bersyukurlah. Ucaplah Alhamdulillah, bukan sekadar di bibir, tetapi di hati dan di perbuatan juga. =)

2. Senantiasa betulkan niat.

Kerana niat itu adalah asas segala pekerjaan. Kalau kite niat baik, bekerja untuk mendapat wang dan wang itu untuk kita belanjakan ke jalan Allah, iaitu bantu bangunkan umat Islam, bantu sahabat saudara yang memerlukan, inshaAllah setiap usaha itu akan mendapat ganjaran pahala Namun kalau niat kita hanya untuk mendapat duit jadi kaya gelak ‘ho ho ho aku kaya’ dan tiada langsung niat untuk Allah s.w.t, maka sia-sialah pekerjaan itu. Naudzubillah mindzalik.

Yes, keep a beard, it’s sunnah!  

3. Senantiasa berdoa untuk ayah ibu, kakak adik, sahabat handai, saudara taulan bila bermusafir

inshaAllah kerana doa musafir itu antara doa yang paling dimakbulkan inshaAllah Doa itu senjata ter’power’ orang mu’min, justeru berdoalah bersungguh-sungguh! Bila-bila ada kesempatan dan peluang berdoa, maka berdoalah =)

4. Dalam bermusafir atau menjelajah seantero dunia, senantiasalah ingat ini:

“Jagalah Allah , nescaya Allah Menjagamu”

Iaitu, jangan lupa mendirikan solat, baca Al Quran selalu, biarlah beribu batu sekalipun dari tanahair, jangan biarkan identiti kite sebagai seorang Muslim itu sekali-kali tidak pudar dari diri kite. Be Proud to be a Muslim. If pendirian kite tidak makan makanan syubhah atau haram, maka di mana-mana sahaja, berpeganglah pada pendirian kita. It’s no sweat of sacrificing something for the sake of something else which is more permanent isn’t it? (that is for Allah’s Syurga inshaAllah )

Wahai adikku yang tercinta, why am I so noisy telling you this eh?

Because at one point in your life when you get to that certain age *adoiii*

You’ll look back and calculate, what have you done in your twenties. How much of the Al Quran have you read compared to others who memorized the whole thing. How much people have I talked about Islam compared to others who spent their daily living spreading about Islam to others. How much have I really contemplate, duduk sejenak dan berfikir dan mengadu segala hal dan masalah dengan Allah s.w.t. bertahajjud dan bertaubat compared to those yang tidak pernah meninggalkan qiyamulail (berjaga malamnya)

How much have we really strive, or work for the paradise, that is the everlasting Jannah (syurga) as much as we really want it?

Adakah kita bekerja sekuat  mungkin untuk mendapat syurganya, dan adakah kita menjauhi sekuat mungkin perkara-perkara yang membawa kite ke neraka sebagaimana kita membencinya?

Something for me myself to ponder about and to those who care.

Everyone makes mistakes, but the most courageous of you are those who apologize firstly to Allah s.w.t by doing taubat nasuha and to the people you wronged.

Then you really regret (penuh penyesalan) what you have done

Then you really do something to back up that mistake- that is by doing it right.

It’s never to late to change or improve, because the largest room is the room for improvement

5. Always remember this, give love to those younger than you and respect to those elder than you.

Take the semangat from the young ones, and learn the wisdom from the old ones.

Always seek for forgivness when you’re wrong and forgive when you’re wronged.

Yeap, life’s not that easy but think it as you never can guarantee if you’re able to open your eyes for the next day, inshaAllah Allah Akan Melembutkan hati.

Akak tahu awak lembut hati inshaAllah, justeru, moga Allah tetapkan kelembutan hati itu pada jalanNya inshaAllah.

6. Observe well when you’re travelling.

Akak di perantauan orang banyak observe cara mereka di sini belajar, bekerja dan buat segalanya dan banyak ilmu hidup alhamdulillah dapat dipelajari. Ilmu Allah itu luas. Sangat luas, justeru jangan sekali kali lelah atau lesu dalam mempelajari ilmuNya.

Go get some good books and bring them onto the ship together with you bro! Therefore you won’t spend too much time swimming or doing other stuff like before. Bukan salah swimming and jamming ke… But reading books too is good for you so you don’t become old chlorinated  only, but immersed in knowledge inshaAllah

and last but not least, always always always, keep in touch with akak and ibu ayah M whenever you get the chance iA k. I know it’s 2 more months but I’m just writing this entry in case Malaikat Izrail aka meeting Allah s.w.t. is by any time since now. Allahua’lam.

and most importantly, this is from the bottom of my heart, just for my dearest brother whom I really love for the sake of Allah s.w.t. Both you and Naim will always be my best buddies/ punching partners/orang dibuli no matter what :p inshaAllah.

We’ll meet next time, like you always say “See you when I see you again.”

If not in this temporary world,

work hard, strive hard for Allah’s Sake,

we’ll meet in Jannah inshaAllah inshaAllah inshaAllah.

We all need sustenance; and He is al-Razzaaq, The Provider. We all need love; and He is al-Wadud, The Most Loving. We all need protection; and Allah is al-Hafidh, The Guardian. What we need the most is the very thing of which Allah (swt) has an unlimited supply.

May Allah s.w.t Make each and everyone of us, our hearts sincere in seeking His Knowledge for His Sake Only inshaAllah.

So heavy the heart to fly to Wexford, leaving my comrades here in Dublin. SubhanAllah. But inshaAllah will be meeting soon…

Pearls of Hikmah I learnt from my winter holidays.

1. Everything Belongs to Allah s.w.t. This applies to everything, including your closest sahabats. How much you love your sahabat, your mother, your father, they belong to Allah s.w.t. and this signifies the temporariness of this world subhanAllah.

Ya Rabb, Please do not attach this dunya in our hearts, Attach them in our hands, so we are able to let go of them.

2. Lowering the gaze is not merely words, and not merely the vision only. It applies to both eyes, ears and most importantly heart. The more you don’t lower your gaze, you keep gazing here and there looking upon those which are forbidden by Allah s.w.t, the more black dots are collected in your heart, the more difficult you are to memorize or to understand His Knowledge. Tundukkan pandangan ya ukhtee! Syaitan itu bisa mengambil setiap kesempatan dalam menggelapkan hati-hati orang mu’min!

Mohon ya Allah, semoga hambaMu ini terus qawiy inshaAllah.

3. Anything which harms yourself or others is haram. Anything. SubhanAllah, this shows how beautiful this deen is, the deen which teaches us the importance of prevention, prevention is always the best intervention than to cure/ fix something which is already done subhanAllah.

The Prophet (p.b.u.h.) said: “There should be neither harming nor reciprocating harm.” (Saheeh Al-Jami 7517)

and.. this… err… includes… *ehem* … *ehem*…. anything which harms you and people around you…

4. Times flies so fast, I can’t recall how many times I’ve been blogging about this, but yes, you Youth, WAHAI PEMUDA PEMUDI, wahai SYABAB! Yo Brothers yo sisters out there. Youth is a huge gift Allah s.w.t Has Given us, thus, it’s such a big big  big waste if you do not use this Gift ya’ni Ni’mat well! You won’t be 18 twice! Neither 20! Therefore, a small advice from your little (but older ehem sister) use your youth well before you grow old! Never delay until you get old, because, you can never guarantee anyone, neither the ants nor the birds you will be breathing the next second!

5. Never judge people just by seeing them once or even twice or even thrice. Allah s.w.t Does Not Judge anyone any creature on this earth by his or her apperances, Allah s.w.t. Mentions that the best amongst us are those who are pious.

Last but not least,

Don’t ever live in your own bubble. You’ll never grow up just by observing and learning from your circle of bubble. The world is another huge bubble which is so minute compared to the Universe Allah s.w.t Has created for us.

Don’t complain for what you don’t have, others have less than you.

And the Ummah needs strong people be it physically, mentally, emotionally or spiritually. When you’re down, which is perfectly normal, get back up.
